Rachel Doren uses her experiences of healing autoimmunity, her story of prevailing as a first generation Cuban-American woman, and her unique perspective as a digital designer, artist, and musician to inspire hope and healing for a better world.

After working as a leader in design and art for over 10 years, Rachel uses the juxtaposition of natural forms and seemingly digital shapes to elicit debate on if her work is digitally or manually produced. Her work is meticulously handcrafted, blending a love of the digital and physical realms. Her painting process involves intuitively and methodically layering shapes and designs to craft densely metallic and detailed paintings which are discovered thematically as they are created. She uses calligraphy brushes to paint with organic mica pigment on organic cotton board-on-canvas backdrops to be mindful of the environment. The results are glowing portraits and dense semi-abstract visual landscapes on midnight backdrops that inspire introspection, curiosity, and wonder.
